I’m Andy Gilbert a Derbyshire Photographer based in the midlands, Matlock. Having always had an interest in art, photography and creativeness, my photographic journey began only as a hobby. I started photographing everything and anything that captured my interest. It didn’t take long before I started to find a feel and style of photography which excited & moved me.

Eventually I found my love for photographing landscapes and portraits before having an opportunity to photograph my first wedding in Matlock. Not knowing if wedding photography was for me I was very apprehensive and after my first shoot I still remember that amazing feeling of satisfaction.

I still always have a camera with me where ever I go and I do my very best to compose and capture images at any given excuse. Just as much photography is my love for editing and being able to turn my photos into an art form. I am forever learning and intend to continue learning more with all my future photos.

If I’m not photographing a wedding then being a Derbyshire photographer you will find me out and about in the Peak District. Usually in a very awkward spot trying to capture this beautiful scenery we have around us. I started out with landscape photography which never left me and continue to have a huge passion for it.
