Amanda and Matt’s wedding started at an amazing looking church in the small village of Dethick in Derbyshire, a popular hiking spot for them both. I had visited this church once before but up until now never had the chance to photograph a wedding their so it was safe to say I was really looking forward to it, as well as the lighting and space challenge. I find all weddings special with each one having their own unique special moments, one of these moments at this particular wedding was the ceremony itself as it was Matt’s (the groom) father who was to marry them both that day. It must have been a true memorable moment for them all, especially Matt and his Dad.

After the beautiful ceremony and some formal photos on the church grounds we all headed off to the New Bath Hotel in Matlock Bath for the wedding breakfast. Having photographed a few weddings at the New Bath I feel lucky to be familiar with the grounds and surroundings which we made good use of on the day as the weather was amazing.

Both Amanda, Matt and all the guests were fantastic throughout the day and I wish them both all the best on their new journey ahead as a married couple.
